Camel Assembly

By September 2015, two things were true: I had cultivated a large network of incredible women—and I didn’t have the time (or money) to brunch with each of them individually. I decided to host a monthly brunch that had one rule: introduce yourself for who you are, not what you do. It became a global movement nearly overnight.

A$AP Ferg Health Fair

It’s summer and I’m sitting uptown across a restaurant table from Ferg, meeting to discuss how he can mobilize his community around causes he cares about. My first question was, “What do you care about?” He put down his spoon full of rice and beans and went deep into thought. He told me that no one had ever asked him this question before. He looked me in the eyes and replied, “Let’s start with the kids in Harlem.”
